According to the latest report received from the Guardian Newspaper, the Borno State Government has appealed to the WAEC and Neco board following the non – released of the results of WAEC and NECO candidates in that took part in the examination in the states.

“THE Borno State government has appealed to the West African Examination Council (WAEC) and National Examination Council (NECO) to immediately release the results of its candidates that sat for this year’s examinations.
The permanent secretary in the Ministry of Education, Alhaji Mohammed Kauji, made the appeal yesterday in Maiduguri while briefing newsmen on the non-release of WAEC and NECO examination results of candidates.
Kauji, who said “the Borno State government had cleared all the outstanding registration fees for the candidates who sat for the examinations in this state” expressed dismay over the inability of the candidates to access their results since they were released by the two examination bodies.
“I want to plead with both WAEC and NECO to release the results of Borno candidates who sat for the 2014 examinations. This is because
the state government has cleared all outstanding fees relating to the examinations. We were surprised to hear that the results of our candidates were not displayed on the website of both WAEC and NECO, even after making all the payments. The situation has created anxiety among the candidates and their parents,” said Kauji.
He commended Governor Kashim Shettima for releasing funds for the payment of the registration fees of candidates.
He called on the two examination bodies to hasten the release of the results to enable interested candidates secure admission into institutions of higher learning in the country.”
We hope both examination board put heads together and agrees to the terms of the Government of Borno State.
