I felt like writing this particular topic today, considering the fact that alot of individuals have been swept off their feet as a result of the wrong choice of careers in life. This is a really big burden, and is really considered one awkward way of getting back in life. The question of “how can a youth choose a right career in life”? becomes a very big but easy to say word in life. I was touched when a friend of mine said to me that he wanted to become a medical doctor, but later turned around to be a secondary school teacher. Now the question everyone will ask is, has he been adequately following his dream in being a medical practitioner ? or did he make the wrong choice of career? i believe that by the time i lay out some possible ways you can make the right choice of career, then you will have all course to be grateful for coming across this post.

I am not an expert or a psychologist, but there are some few things i have been able to learn within my short stay on earth, which has made me a little bit enlightened in the aspect of making the right choice of career. I have always wanted to be a marine engineer. That was my dream and i kept on pursuing that dream of mine. Along the line, i had discovered that i was already developing a great love for the world of information technology. It was then my dream of becoming a marine engineer started drifting away, and i knew it was necessary for me to start living up to my new found love. Now someone will ask, why did you change your dream? why didn’t you continue with the intention of becoming a marine engineer. This is one very big question that i really do not have an answer to even until today. Maybe if i had kept on running after that dream of becoming a marine engineer, then i should have been sailing or practicing other marine stuffs. But all that was not the essence for me but was only an option. Now before making a career choice in any course , here are the things you should consider:

Are You Good In The Subjects?

It is easier said than done. If you  must make a career choice, then you have to discover your area of weakness and your area of strength. You should be able to filter the subjects that you are experts with and the once you do not have any perchant for.For example, if you have the intention of being a physicist, you should be very good in physics.This is necessary because in the course of taking this career, you will encounter many problems pertaining to physics. You may not be able to continue such course in life, battling with problems you have no idea with.

What Is Your Laid Down Goal For The Career?

Good a thing you have been considered an expert in the subjects hooking to the course, but do you have a goal? what do you want to achieve while running your career. Do you just want to study for the career and come out with results, or do you have an agenda or a targeted problem you wish to proffer solution to? this is very confusing and alot of people tend to forget the fact that they can make a change to their own world by just having a goal. Just as the ceo of facebook  had a goal of connecting the world, his major career is still base on the ICT industry. that means he was bagged up by a goal which sustained his career. That should be one of the reasons his success made way for him through his little invention.

How To Make Your Career Work Out For You.

It is always said that money is the engine room for every success story. Yea! i agree to that  fact and that is why every career minded individual thinks of putting income to his list in making a career. It is known to everyone that the bigger the career choice, the bigger the amount of money one has to spend and maybe, the bigger the opportunity. So if you have that idea of being Pilot or any other challenging course, then you should be able to beat the finances that should be used to set up the bridge to that career story. Remember that alot of persons have been victim of career failures, and you can make a good or bad choice today.
