I was contacted by someone on facebook who needed to get his Jamb registration number for the year 2005 or so, He asked for solution on how he would be able to get his Jamb registration number since he had lost the details long time ago. According to him, he needed it because it had become a necessity for him to submit the full details for his National Youth Corp Service (NYSC). I could not sleep the whole of the night as i spent much time looking for possible solution to the problem.
Luckily, i stumbled on an interesting topic on the official Jamb website and decided to give it a try and it worked. The down side of it is that it only worked via the help of my serial number and Pin and i was able to get the details of my Jamb registration number.
Though i found something important and confusing on the Jamb website which states that”
Note: For those who may have forgotten their Registration Number, this can be retrieved upon validation of PIN and Serial Number with either surname, first name or middle name, Date of Birth and State of Origin.
This statement is found directly below the field where you have the PIN and SERIAL number field. What this means is that one can actually get his or her pin with either the details of there names, birth date, etc.
How To Retrieve Your Jamb Registration Number
— Simply login to the official website of Jamb
— Select “Retrieval of Registration Number” on the year you wish to retrieve the Jamb registration number and enter your PIN and serial number in the field provided for you.
— Upon completion of your details, simply click on the “Submit button ” and wait. Your Jamb registration number should be seen in no distant time.
