The authorities of the Redeemer’s University have appointed Prof. Kayode Adekeye, as a deputy Vice-Chancellor.

The Head of Corporate Affairs in the institution, Mr. Adetunji Adeleye, made this known in a statement on Monday.

According to him, the Senate of the university approved the appointment at its recent statutory meeting.

Adekeye, a Professor of Statistics, is the university’s first DVC.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Debo Adeyewa, on the occasion,   said the appointment was part of the university’s strategic plan to enable it to achieve its lofty visions.

Adekeye, a Professor of Statistics, until the appointment, was the institution’s Director, Academic Planning and Quality Assurance.

He brings to the job a considerable administrative experience spanning various strategic committees where he served as either chair or member. Adekeye belongs to many professional bodies.
