This is to inform the general public especially prospective postgraduate candidates who applied for admission into the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) School of Postgraduate Studies for the 2017/2018 Academic Session that the deadline for registration has been extended.
Postgraduate students earlier given a moratorium till 31st of October 2017 are hereby informed that the Postgraduate Board at its meeting of Thursday 26 October 2017 magnanimously agreed to a final extension of the moratorium period till the 31st of December 2017.
Online Application is still ongoing and intrested candidates are invited to apply for admission.
REQUIREMENTS
A general requirement for admission is a Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Letters, Philosophy or Science or an acceptable equivalent from an approved University. An academic standing of a minimum of second class lower division or a grade point average of B (3.0 on a 4.0 scale) is required for admission to Masters degrees: a second class upper division for MPhil: and an MPhil or Master’s degree with research thesis in appropriate field and at least 60% (B+) weighted average in the Masters coursework for admission to Doctorate degree.

2. Masters degrees
I. Masters with coursework, long essays/reports – MSc, MA, LLM, MEd, MFA & including Professional Masters – MSc, MA
II. Masters with coursework & research thesis – MSc, MA
III. Master of Philosophy (MPhil) with coursework & research thesis
3. Doctorate (Ph.D)
