Authorities of the Lagos State University, Ojo, have announced a new timetable for the 2014/2015 first semester examination.

The Senate of the university, which announced this in a statement, said the exam would begin on Wednesday, July 22.

The school authorities had postponed the examination due to students’ failure to register online for their courses. The postponement resulted in the students barricading the Lagos/Badagry Expressway in protest.

According to the new timetable, the examination will end on Tuesday, August 4.

Noting that the semester would end on August 25, the statement also stated that the second semester would begin on August 31.

It added, however, that the second semester examination would hold between November 23 and December 4.

The authorities had linked the inability of the Senate to meet and ratify the dates to the blockade of the senate building since March 16, by members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, the Non Academic Staff Union and the Senior Staff Association of Universities.
