This was contained in a statement issued by the management.
According to the ‎statement, “in view of the forthcoming elections scheduled for March 28 and April 11 respectively, the University management of Lagos State University declared a recess for both staff and students.”
The management said all students including the staff should leave the premises effect from Monday 23, 2015. ‎ “Students and staff are therefore advised to vacate the campus immediately while the resumption date will be announced later,” it added.
This development will no doubt allays the fear of parents who want their children to vacate the campus during elections.
‎Other institutions such as University of Lagos (UNILAG), Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education Ijanikin and Yabatech are yet to declare holiday for their students.
