As promised by JAMB regarding releasing the official Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on the 2nd of June 2016, the Nigerian Education Minister, Mallam Adamu Adamu finally approved 180 as the cut off marks for all Tertiary Institutions in the country. This cut off mark was approved during the JAMB policy meeting held today which had the minister inclusive.

In a recent headline from the African Independent Television (AIT), the Nigerian Minister for Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu calls for scrapping of Post Utme examination normally conducted by institutions on yearly basis.This decision was made as Anti-Post utme protesters storm JAMB Policy meeting.

The 180 benchmark, applies to all universities and higher institutions in the country, including polytechnics, colleges of education, and others.
