The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in a recent update revealed that candidates with awaiting results can still register for this year UTME. You can recall the popular hoax regarding the board disqualifying applicants with awaiting result.This information was disclosed by JAMB on their official twitter handle prior to publications made that candidates with awaiting results would not be admitted into any institution.
The Board stated that; “JAMB has NOT scrapped awaiting result for prospective candidates for the forthcoming exam.” “Candidates will not be denied the right to quality education. Awaiting results candidates can still apply for 2017 UTME. But they must have gotten their results at this point of admission into their institution” “That is why those with results will be uploading their results, while awaiting result candidates will not upload anything during the registration.” Therefore, prospective candidates; if you apply with awaiting result at the point of registration, your result must be available while you go for screening for admission.
