BREAKING NEWS: UNIPORT 1st Merit List 2015/2016 Is Out/released – More details 

Hi Friends,It’s me Allison “Yea”, Yea,” Yea.” Ok lets get back to the basis of this topic. Considering our last discussion HERE and further released articles regarding the 2015 admission list for UNIPORT which is yet to be released as per the 11/08/2015, i have actually done some research and have come up with something that may interest each and every one of us.

For real, UNIPORT 2015 cut off marks by department is still unavailable and candidates are worried as every one (Including those  with low scores) wish to see their names in the UNIPORT Merit admission list for the 2015/2016 academic session.

Alright chill!!! Lets roll this way. I stumbled on a source who has a deeper understanding on how the University of Portharcourt (UNIPORT) admits candidates and their selection criteria for merit list and i was told that the department of Medicine and Surgery and the Faculty of Engineering has the highest cut off marks.

The Admission criteria for merit list

Now by his calculation; this was what he said;

” For you to know your chances of gaining admission into UNIPORT, your total aggregate must be fifty (50) and above when your JAMB score is added to your Post utme score and divided by 8.”

Breaking this down, this was what he meant. If i scored 200 in JAMB and 250 in Post UTME, to get a clue if i am going to be among the merit list, i am expected to add up my JAMB score which is two hundred (200) with my Post utme score which is (250) and divide by 8((200+250)/8) and if my total aggregate from the division is fifty (50) and above, then i stand a better chance of gaining admission into my department of choice (excluding medicine and Surgery whose cut off marks seems to be very high).

I really do not know the exact date the 2015 UNIPORT merit admission list will be released, but lets hope we get to see updates regarding their admission list before the end of September 2015.
