- Use a notebook on the rings. This allows an easy replace of one or two damaged sheets.

- Allocate one notebook for one subject. It is optimal. If not, make a clear distinction between the subjects with the help of colored cardboard inserts.
- You do not need to write everything the teacher says. We talk up to 6 times faster than write. “Filter” the heard information and write down only the key points.
- You can use acronyms and abbreviations to speed up the writing.
- Do not bother to check spelling and punctuation. No one will see the notes. The most important thing is to write down the information you need. The same goes for the language. You can use jargon if it is faster and easier.
- Definitions and terminology are better to write word for word. Many teachers love it when their students properly cite them.
- Notes must be neat and readable, because you will use them for the exams preparation.
- Copy everything that the teacher writes and draws on the board. This information is sometimes far more valuable than the color pictures from books and presentations.
