Microsoft word is one interesting vendor application that I always enjoy using whenever I really need to make a report.
There are so many unique features in this software which makes it very easy for people to use it without getting to undergo vigorous training exercises or attending a formal education setting.
Today, I will be tutoring us on how you can create a splash screen form with your picture and some other information poping out when you open your Microsoft word.
For the benefit of those of us that do not know what a splash screen is, a splash screen form is the box that runs before your windows or Microsoft word 2003,2007 etc is fully loaded.
Below is an example of my customized splash screen form that runs before my word 2003 opens.

SPLASH SCREEN FORM
Below are the steps you should follow in creating a splash screen for word 2003
1.) Create two bookmarks in your microsoft word named “Text1 and Text2”. To create each bookmark, select a single space so that when you turn on the option to see the bookmarks underTools>Options>View, the bookmarks appear as []rather than |. When you create bookmarks with a space selected like this, the text will be inserted inside the bookmark, rather than after it.
You can then use a cross reference to the text of the bookmark if you want the same information to appear in another location. You can add additional Text as desired by you, depending on how many textboxes you may be adding.
1.)     Open your word 2003 or any other version you are having.
2.)   Go to tools + Macro + Macros + Visual basic editor( alternatively, you can use Alt+ F11)
3.)     Another page pops up which is called the visual basic editor(see image below)

1.)  At this stage, you will need to create a userform in which you can create and design your form.
2.) To create a userform on the Microsoft visual basic screen, click on to drop down to display the userform menu and click to enter(see image below)
USERFORM MENU
From the Controls toolbox, select the TextBox control – ab| and then move the mouse cursor over to the UserForm, click and hold the Left mouse button and drag the cursor to make the TextBox the desired size. Repeat this step for a second TextBox or for as many as you require.
3.)  Below is an example of what the userform looks like

4.)    At this stage, you advice to add up your command button in the userform(see image below to see circled command box). Click on the command button control and insert one in the userform.
5.)    By default, this is named “command button,” change to desired name.

6.)  This how your userform will look  like after inserting a command box(see image below)

v     After the code  has been added, Save and close the visual basic editor.
v     Go to tools + Macro + Macros or use Alt+F8 to bring the macro dialog box.

v     Select the modules as shown below and enter this code on the module screen that displays.

Reopen your saved work and your userform will pop out immediately.
