One of the long standing traditions of the Bonny Vocational Centre (BVC) has been to celebrate graduating students in Grand style with an annual Dinner party (prom night).

The event which was strictly by invitation features performances, presentations, selection of Prom king & queen etc.

Since It has been the culture of Bonny Vocational Centre (City & Guilds of London Learning Institute) to host there graduating students every year, yesterday’s celebration was not different from the best. This year’s Prom Night celebration was filled with lots of action. The celebration started with a warm welcoming of the graduating students and glasses of assorted wines to gear students and guests into the celebration mood.

It was like heaven on earth. Food and drinks was never a problem as the school had already made provision to spoil there victorious graduants with intercontinental dishes, and assorted types of drinks. I had so much to consume and even give away.

Entertainment

Entertainment was no far from what i normally watched on presidential bouquets. It was classical and well planned. Dancers and singers from across the Island partook in mind blowing performances that wowed the celebrants and there guests. We had to watch different kinds of concepts infused in every entertainment that was presented to the audience. The school Promers presented a remix of the song titled “Sign of Victory,” by veteran singer “Rkelly,” featuring each of the selected solo singers.

The Crown – A New Prom King & Queen Emerges

It has been a pattern for the school to always have an existing and current Prom King and Queen and this was where the contest began. The celebrants were decorated with numbers to assume the scenario of contestants/models. Upon completion of the contest, the result came in, and Godsgreat George from the information communication and Technology (ICT) department was crowned the Prom King and the crowned Prom Queen came in from the catering department ( i think i forgot the name). In a heroic manner the past Prom King and Queen handed over there crowns to the winners of this year’s prom night celebration.

The Dance By The Promers

I carefully examined the social life of the celebrants and was wowed by the outstanding dance moves these students were displaying. The celebrants danced joyously that the instructors/tutors had to cut off the dance for the sake of time. I had to join in the dance even though i knew less or nothing about dancing since i wasn’t a fan of Hip Hop music.

Pictures of prom the Night coming soon.
