This is to inform all members of the public that the Gombe State University has just gotten a new Vice Chancellor. The new VC goes by the name Umar Ibrahim. Below are the details of the new Vc.
Born on June 12, 1958 in Dukul village of Kwami Local Government Area of the state, Umar obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria in 1981.
He started work as a Graduate Assistant at the ABU in 1982, had a Ph. D from University of Salford, England, on Nuclear and Radiochemistry in 1987.
He was the Director, Centre for Energy Research and Training, ABU Zaria; Director, Nuclear Science and Technology, Energy Commission of Nigeria, Abuja and one time Deputy Vice Chancellor of the state university.
