The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State, Prof. Adebiyi Daramola, has said that the institution is committed to enhancing the quality of its postgraduate programmes.

Daramola said this during the matriculation of the school’s 1,635 postgraduate students.

According to him, the university has put in place strategies to ensure that its services are of the highest quality and comparable to what obtains in top institutions around the world.

The VC, who congratulated the students on excelling in the admission process, also noted that the postgraduate school was undergoing proactive steps to make their experiences on campus worthwhile.

Represented by the university Librarian, Dr. Femi Oguntuase, the VC reiterated that the vision of his administration was to take FUTA to the market place and to make it to positive collaborate with reputable institutions.

The Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Moses Ajewole, also said that the university had positioned itself to provide the appropriate platform to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.

He promised the students that the institution’s management was removing bottlenecks that would impede their completion of programmes on time.

Prof. Oyedapo Fagbenro of the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture Technology presented a paper entitled “Global relevance in Postgraduate Studies” during their induction.
