For some days now, the Federal Government has been reconsidering its decision to reopen primary and secondary schools in the nation due to pressures from several sectors over the fear of Ebola. Last week, it was announced that the resumption of schools will kick off on the 22nd of September 2014 and proper hygienic practices will be mandated to be carried out in all the schools in the country.

With the latest information reaching us, the Federal Government of Nigeria has come to an agreement with the Nigeria Medical Association to fix the opening date for the Primary and secondary schools for the 22nd of September 2014. However, the Federal Government has directed that every school be at alert and proper health practices be displayed.
