The American University of Nigeria (AUN) Graduate School has resumed the acceptance of qualified candidates into eight of its graduate programs.

A statement from the office of the Interim Dean, Dr. Charles Nche, listed the graduate programs as Master of Science (MSc) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science, Master of Science (MSc), and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Information Systems–all offered by the School of Information Technology & Computing.

The School of Business & Entrepreneurship offers the following: Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Science (MSc), and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business Administration.

“AUN Graduate School offers a unique experience to graduates, including the opportunity to work with leading academics and with some of the very best libraries, laboratories, and resources,” said the statement quoting Dean Nche.

“A master’s degree can provide you with a platform for further research or can help you change career focus. It also shows you have high-level generic skills and advanced specialist knowledge to give you a boost in a competitive job market.”

He advised every graduate to take a course, and update his or her knowledge in a rapidly changing managerial, technical, or social science fields, or learn advanced techniques in subjects studied at undergraduate level.

A postgraduate student with an American-style education, he continued, “you will combine traditional seminars, lectures, and tutorials with independent project-based investigation.

Full-time programs at AUN Graduate School normally last 18 or 24 months.
