Choi Choi Choi. My people Kasala don burst o (There is problem).I got back from church today with a smile on my face, receiving all the blessings while still hoping that the rest of my today will be so much fun since i was going to come online to see better news and find out ways to bring in more ideas to this portal. I rooted out my phone from the bag, scroll down to the browser and launched it. I opened my social media account (Facebook) and low and behold, the message i saw from some of the updates from my friends was not funny.

Guess What I Saw On My Airtel Line?

Dear Customer, effective 3rd Dec 2013 Airtel BB Plans will cease to function on non BB devices or used as a modem.” Thank you.” It was like a joke so i had to go to bed to take a few minutes siesta before returning to my laptop. When i got up, i picked up my Airtel Sim, inserted it into my phone and do you know what next? I saw the confirmation of the message “Dear Customer, effective 3rd Dec 2013 AIRTEL BB Plans will cease to function on non BB devices or used as a modem . Thank you.”

I have made confirmation from so many of my friends and they all got the same response from Airtel. Just today i was about going to get a new BIS subscription for my self before this network gave me the blow of life. It is often said that when one door closes, another door opens. Lets watch and see if this joke of the day is true because i am beginning to see some sense in this story o.

Why Did They Halt BIS Plans From Working on Non-Blackberry Devices?

I am quite as inquisitive as you are. We just have to sit down and watch for other cheaper plans. But for now, no one can tell why this decision was taken by this network operator. Maybe they think they have gotten a handful of customers. Who Knows!

What Shall We Do?

Well, i will just sit tight and inquire if their are other cheaper subscription from any other network operator. I wonder how this is going to be possible, considering the fact that Airtel got the cheapest browsing plan.Though i have heard of the Glo 3.75GB (N1,000) blackberry plan working on Andriod devices, i am still yet to confirm it.
