The Achievers University, Owo, Ondo State, has concluded plans to create an online database where parents will access their wards’ character status and academic performances.
Its Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Tunji Ibiyemi, gave the hint during the school’s recent matriculation.
According to him, the platform will also enable parents to the monitor the financial standing their children.
Ibiyemi, who promised that the activation of the database would soon take place, urged parents to monitor regularly their children.
“Very soon parents will be able to have access to their wards’ access academic standing, financial status and character status via SMS,” Ibiyemi added.
The VC, who urged the fresh students to continue to be hard working, advised them to shun vices.
“While congratulating you on this achievement, I urge you to make the best use of the opportunity presented by your admission into this university. You need to stay conscious of the expectations of your parents as well as the enormous sacrifices they are making to see you through school now. You must, therefore, make a personal commitment not to let them down,” he said.
