The Director of State Security Services in Kwara, Mr. Williams Onoja reported on Friday that the agency just arrested 7 suspects in connection with abduction,cultism and rape.
According to the Punch newspaper, the names of the suspects are: Abdulrasak Abubakar, Musa Sikiullahi, Kamaldeen Isiaka, Olanrewaju Lawal, Ibrahim Olanrewaju, Tunde Yusuf and Abdulrahman Jimoh.
He said that four of the suspects alledgedly raped a student in one of the colleges of education in the state.
“The suspects could be members of a cult,or gang group in the state,” said Mr.Onoja.”
Items recovered from the suspects includes knives, charms, locally-made guns, and fake currencies.
Following his statement, he said that the agency was informed that one of the victims was beheaded in other to keep his identity hidden.
Members of the public have been called upon to assist the security operatives with information to reduce crime rates and the loss of lives and properties.
He said,” they were arrested in connection with abduction, rape and cult activities.”
Although some of the suspects said they were not involved in the rape allegation, in which they accused three of their gang members as being invoved
One of the suspects said that he was arrested because he is the owner of the room where the victim was raped.
