I recently made a post concerning the 2013 Google Science Fair competitive program which welcomes applications from students from other parts of the world. Another one is here; this is the 2013 Google Students Ambassador program which engraves students the opportunity to act as a channel or liaisons between Google and their Universities. The duties of these Students ambassadors are to:
–Plan and host events on campus
– Study about Google Innovative programs.
–Act as a campus or hostel contact for Google Teams
–Assist Google understand the culture of each university.

So far, the program has witness a massive increase since its period of introduction. The search which initially started within six countries of the world, has expanded up to 12 countries in the world and have randomly grown from 28 Tertiary institution to 97 with over 160 Ambassadors within the space of a year.
Students Ambassador Program For Google
One of the major goals of these Ambassadors is to use this Technology to make a difference both in their schools and communities at large.
There are lots of advantages to becoming a Google Ambassadors as a student. Holding such leadership positions can help improve the professional development, leadership and can create effective communication skills to students holding such positions. This can also fetch such student a business as a result of the knowledge gathered from their tenure. The eligible field of studies includes majors from computer science, to business, to zoology, to Anthropology. This practically shows that any student would be eligible for this mantle of leadership.
The duration of the course is slated for a period of 12 months, which is 1 school or academic year. Applications have started and will run until the 11th of April 2013.
To apply for the Google Student Ambassador Program, you are expected to complete the Online Application form for the 2013 Google Student Ambassador Application Form.
Please note that the Deadline is on the 11th of April 2013 after which, the registration or application portal will be officially closed.
