Job Summary

• The Inventory Management Officer is responsible for overseeing and maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring efficient stock control, and optimizing inventory levels to meet operational demands.
• This role involves tracking inventory movements, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams, and implementing inventory management best practices to minimize waste and reduce costs.

Responsibilities
Inventory Control and Management:

• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies.
• Implement inventory tracking systems to enhance efficiency.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of stock.

Stock Planning and Replenishment:

• Analyze inventory levels and forecast demand.
• Coordinate with procurement and suppliers for timely restocking.
• Set reorder levels and manage stock replenishment schedules.
• Prevent overstocking or stockouts to optimize operations.

Compliance and Reporting:

• Maintain compliance with company policies and industry standards.
• Generate reports on stock levels, usage trends, and discrepancies.
• Ensure proper documentation of inventory transactions.

Supplier and Stakeholder Coordination:

• Liaise with suppliers and vendors for order fulfillment.
• Work closely with warehouse, procurement, and finance teams.
• Address inventory-related issues and resolve supplier disputes.

Process Improvement and Optimization:

• Identify areas for improvement in inventory management processes.
• Implement technology solutions to enhance tracking and reporting.
• Train staff on best practices for inventory control.

Education, Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in retail, pharmaceutical, health care or hospital pharmacy.
• Proven experience in inventory management, warehousing, or procurement.

Skills and Competency:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, ERP, or similar).
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
