Summary

• We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager (Expatriate) to manage the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating and purchase of construction materials and services in accordance to project requirements.
• To lead and establish procurement capabilities across the Organization.
• This role is open to the following Nationalities: Ghanian, European, South African, Lebanese.

Role Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies.
• Ensure cost effectiveness of materials for large scale construction procurement.
• Manage organizational sourcing capabilities, develop and maintain relationships with vendors.
• Negotiate terms of supply with vendors while securing suitable terms and deadlines.
• Prepare procurement execution plans and oversee the full array of materials management and procurement functions of purchasing, expediting, shipping, receipt and inspections, and logistics.
• Develop plans for the effective organization and temporary storage of project materials and general inventories at various company and/or independent warehouse locations.
• Performing risk assessments alongside the contracts manager on potential contracts and agreements
• Monitor the procurement budget and promote long-term procurement cost savings.
• Optimize the material and supplier portfolio – that is what materials should be bought in bulk and consumed as needed from inventory by projects, and which materials are best to acquire as needed for specific projects.
• Prepare, maintain and review purchasing records, track the status of requisitions, contracts and orders, approve bills for payment,
• Liaise with the contracts manager while negotiating to ensure contract terms and deadlines are suitable to the Company.
• Represent the company’s interests whilst liaising with clients.
• Create database with vendor & product or service comparisons of prospective suppliers to support management decisions
• Work closely with the Project Manager and General Manager to Identify potential suppliers based on project requirements.
• Perform any other functions requested by Management.

Role Requirements

• University Degree in Engineering or a relevant discipline. MBA and MSc in relevant field is an advantage.
• Relevant professional certifications in Engineering or Project management is an advantage but not mandatory.
• At least 7 years of solid experience in Construction or Project procurement of large-scale projects.

Salary
USD 5000 Net + Other benefits.
