Job Description
Sourcing of raw material:

• Planning and executing the buying strategies basis factory import requirements
• Directly handling big global cooperatives and suppliers
• Pricing ideas – Adopt to market practices and ensure cost-effective buying.
• Raw material quality practices – make sure the best quality materials are bought through innovations and better approaches.

EXIM:

• Handle the import and  export operations.
• Will include planning the schedules, volume projection, operational aspects etc.
• Able to plan and manage the required logistics and other supportive functions.
• Should be well versed with requirement of imports like LC , Form M , HS codes , INCO terms
• Should be able to work with various regulatory agencies like customs etc.
• Should be able to work with clearing agents.

Team:

• Set KPIs, budgets, and plan trainings

Key Deliverables

• Volume: Planning and phasing raw material supply as per needs of the processing facility, supplier management
• Cost: Manage direct cost of operations within the allotted budget
• Quality: Ensure optimum quality of raw material is procured
• Sustainability: Anchor and lead the sustainability initiatives

Strategic Effectiveness:

• Contribute to the design and implementation of the business road map, as well as managing the procurement and supply chain strategy for the product(s), outside Nigeria.
• You will demonstrate sound judgement within defined practices and policies and select techniques for obtaining solutions that will contribute to future results and successes
• Strong financial acumen, ability to read and comprehend tasks such as counterparty and credit risk management
• Develop strong S&D (Supply and Demand) capabilities to dynamically formulate a price view and a strategic buying plan throughout the crop year.

Operational Effectiveness:

• You will be responsible for the optimal utilization of country resources
• Support implementation of required infrastructure as per the business plan and derive maximum capacity efficiencies by eliminating controllable losses
• Be responsible for all Raw Material buying, including Packaging material , Additives , spares and Capex .
• Manage the primary/secondary procurement

Organizational Effectiveness:

• Ability to build teams – hiring, training, and developing team members
• Collaborate with key stake holders involving formal business reviews and ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• 4-5 years of experience in imports process
• Good communication skills.
• Native-level French fluency with good knowledge of English
• Team player, with team management skills.
• An understanding of how and the willingness to go the extra mile to bring added business value.
• Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team-building skills
• A previous experience in Sales, Supply chain and Operations would always be a value add.
