Instrument Supervisor Recruitment at PivotGIS (Bonny Island) Full Time

A vacancy exist for the position of an Instrument Supervisor in our clients operations Bonny Island, Rivers State. Details of the position are as highlighted below.

Qualifications
Candidates should have the following:

1. HND / B.Eng. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Physics/Electronics.
2. 5yrs experience working as a Principal or Senior Instrument Technician or 2 years as an Electrical Supervisor in Plant construction, Maintenance and Shutdown Projects.

Accountability:
Instrument Supervisor reports and is accountable to Senior Shut-Down Engineer.

Basic Functions:
To competently Supervise the execution of all Instrument scope of work assigned to his/her team with correct resources and ensure the works are carried out Safely with precision and professionalism and close out in accordance with relevant company work procedures, work instructions and HSE policies for Non Routine Campaign.

Principal Responsibilities:

1.  Ensure proper understanding of the scope of work to be executed by his/her team.
2. Ensure availability of all required documentation, materials, tools, spares, PPE and personnel prior to mobilization to site.
3. Review work scope and execution timing with team leads to ensure proper understanding of work scope and assigned duration prior to site mobilization.
4. Ensure team members maintaining a safe and clean work area
5. To ensure all assigned field works during Non-Routine Campaign and Project works are completed safely, according to Scope, Schedule and within budget and in conformance to NLNG’s work procedures and Industry standard.

Technical / Business Skills:

1.  Good understanding and interpretation of design drawings, PEFS and P&ID to ensure
   proper execution of Instrumentation activities equipment
2. Advance troubleshooting skills of major system failures and equipment malfunctions
3. Strong leadership skills
4. Familiarity with instrument activities, their safety, hazards and their mitigations.
5. Working knowledge in a Gas Plant, Refinery or similar industrial environment.
6. Working knowledge of industrial HSE policies and practices e.g. PPE, Observe,Intervene and Report (check cards), Tool box meeting, LMRA.

Interpersonal Skills:

• A good team player.
• Excellent communication skills.
•  Ability to work extra hours to ensure workmanship is carried out accordingly to international and company’s standards and procedure.
