Job Title: Senior Geophysicist

Location: Lagos / Port Harcourt, Rivers

Responsibilities

• Conduct 2D and 3D seismic interpretation to map subsurface structures and stratigraphy.
• Evaluate potential hydrocarbon reservoirs using advanced software and geophysical techniques.
• Integrate seismic data with geological and petrophysical information to build robust subsurface models.
• Identify and rank hydrocarbon prospects and leads based on geophysical and geological data.
• Recommend locations for exploration and appraisal wells, ensuring alignment with the company’s objectives.
• Participate in the preparation of well-prognosis documents and post-drill evaluations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geophysics, Geology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the upstream oil and gas industry.
• Proven track record in seismic interpretation, prospect evaluation, and reservoir characterization.
• Membership in a recognized professional body (e.g., AAPG, SEG, or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Relevant software certifications (e.g., Petrel, Landmark, or similar) will be an added advantage.

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in seismic interpretation software (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom Suite, or Landmark).
• Strong understanding of seismic acquisition, processing, and interpretation workflows.
• Knowledge of geological and petrophysical integration techniques.
• Ability to analyze complex datasets and derive meaningful insights.
