Job Description

• Check all incoming (Inbound) items / Receipts and validate the documents for inspection GRN
•  Ensures Gate pass are prepared for all materials leaving the plant to outside locations.
• Coordinate and ensure the activities of the receipt and issue bay are seamless.
• Physically receive material from cargo or consignment and check the delivery notes (Waybill) with reference to Purchase order.
• Establish and maintain effective inventory control system that guaranteed real time posting of transactions.
• identify and resolve delivery discrepancies and variances, and implementing corrective action
• Liaise with user departments to reconcile records especially on critical /insurance parts.
• Monitor and analyze inventory performance including turnover rates, stock level and obsolete or excess inventory.
• Provide information on current stock and order to provide justification for reordering.
• Ensure all faulty credit stock / deliveries are returned to supplier in  a timely manner
• Any other duty as may be assigned by the Head of Stores

Requirements

• Education and Work Experience:
• BSc/HND in Business Administration/Statistics/Accounting/Engineering 2 – 5years’ working experience in stores & Inventory Management. Knowledge of ERP (SAP) is an added advantage.

Skills and Competencies:

• Proven working experience in book keeping & inventory management
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent team player.
• In-depth knowledge of stock handling.
