Job Title: Funding Researcher

Location: Ogbomoso, Oyo

Job Description

• You will be expected to track grants, accelerations, incubations, investments, sponsorship, partnership etc. in terms of their value, the application deadline, the prerequisites necessary for applications, and other funding source related details that will be covered in the responsibilities section.
• Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team. Duties include the following, measurable in terms of time, cost, quality, or quantity.

Duties

• Investigate and identify prospective funding sources through colleagues, directories, periodicals, and dogged internet research
• Creating an organized matrix of funding sources information, including but not limited to:
  • Deadlines
  • Funding source requirements
  • Amount of funding offered
  • Funding level and types
  • Contact info (if provided)
• Maintaining timely communications with the funding source team and executive team
• Contacting funding source providers for additional information
• Doggedly and constantly research funding opportunities that align with organization mission, vision, and values;
• Contacting non-profits that may provide grants or other type of funding, but do not advertise it
• Collating and organizing data on funding sources especially with funding opportunities that reoccurs periodically
• Giving assistance to the business funding team on research needed in the application to the funding platforms
• Conducting any form of research especially online research to provide solutions to snags and challenges that the funding business team encounters
• Matching prospective funding sources with R&D and Tech Products priorities
• Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Entering and monitor data to maintain list of funding opportunities, constantly ensuring information is up-to-date;
• Researching funding opportunities that align with organization mission, vision, and values;
• Meeting proposal deadline by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, approval, and transmittal;
• Maintaining grant calendar and track submissions and results of Individuals, Foundations, Corporate and Government Funders
• Making research for media, press and exhibition platforms.

Requirements

• Currently in a University, a fresh Graduate or an NYSC member.
• Be experienced in getting result and making research.

Competencies:

• Office 365 proficient
• Use of personal computers and related software applications.
• Conducting research, policies, regulations and requirements for funding
• Reporting, follow-up and work organization.
