Purpose Statement

• We are seeking a dynamic and result-driven Head of Investment to join our innovative team.
• The Head of Investment will be responsible for overseeing the entire investment portfolio, developing and implementing strategies to maximize returns, managing risk, and ensuring compliance.
• This role requires an experienced investment professional with a proven track record in portfolio management, strategic planning, and market analysis, ideally within the fintech or financial services sectors.

Responsibilities

• Deposit Mobilization: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to drive deposit mobilization efforts, ensuring an increase in deposit inflows to support the investment strategy and improve overall liquidity
• Investment Strategy Development: Create and implement a comprehensive investment strategy that aligns with the organization’s growth objectives and risk tolerance
• Portfolio Management: Oversee the management of the investment portfolio, ensuring optimal asset allocation, diversification, and risk management.
• Market Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial markets, economic trends, and emerging investment opportunities to inform decision-making.
• Product Development: Collaborate with the product team to design and enhance investment products that align with customer needs and market demands.
• Investment Performance Monitoring: Track portfolio performance, analyze returns, and provide regular reports to executive leadership, highlighting successes and identifying areas for improvement.
• Risk Management: Develop and enforce risk management policies to protect the company’s investments and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Investor Relations: Manage relationships with investors and stakeholders, providing insights into investment performance, opportunities, and market conditions.
• Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing investment team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, laws, and ethical standards in all investment activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field (MBA or CFA preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in investment management, portfolio management, or related roles, preferably within fintech, financial services, or asset management.
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful investment strategies.
• Strong understanding of investment products, financial markets, and asset classes.
• Demonstrated experience in risk management and compliance within the investment sector.
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret financial data and market trends.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience in stakeholder management.
• Leadership experience with a focus on team development and performance optimization.
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and adapt strategies to market changes.
