Get to Know the Role

• Support the delivery of complex projects, providing strategic advice and facilitating the collaboration of multiple teams, communicating outcomes to relevant stakeholders.
• Be responsible for driving great execution, increasing the effectiveness of delivery teams by implementing appropriate processes, setting expectations, managing risks and resourcing.
• Promote ownership and accountability, learning and teaching, and driving our Engineering Principles helping to develop a culture of excellence and wellbeing
• Be accountable for the operational health of the product group, using data to drive improvements, ensuring our products are delivered and supported to a high standard.
• Help scale new and existing teams, in multiple locations, establishing goals and defining and owning success KPIs.
• Work with our Engineering Leadership Team on departmental initiatives and driving technical initiatives within your product group .

What You’ll Do

• Blusalt is looking for a team Lead- Software Developer
• Have an experience in our platforms (AWS, DO Kubernetes, Grafana) and our tools (NodeJS, Go, VueJS and ReactJS)
• Familiarity with API design and experience with at least one web framework
• Knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL database technologies
• Familiarity with building and styling responsive web applications using modern
• JavaScript/TypeScript, React & Vue, and frontend tooling;
• Experience, or interest in building backend services and APIs in any programming language(we use NodeJS & Go)
• Ability to design, build, maintain, and document RESTful APIs and services.
• Deep understanding of protocol buffers, gRPC, and message queue systems
• Experience building libraries and involvement in open-source software
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
• Understanding of SOLID principles, common design patterns and software development best practices.
• Scope out and define new features, breaking delivery down into incremental pieces
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Employ design patterns, testing, and automation to ensure fast and safe iteration cycles.
• Use your knowledge to coach your teammates and level up the whole engineering organization
• Interest in testing best practices – TDD, unit testing and integration testing;
• Understanding of microservice architecture and its associated challenges;
• Interest in observability and alerting in mission-critical distributed systems.
• Develop new services which empower our customers with the features they need to onboard, build, use and manage our products from the Blusalt Core Console.
• Work in our cross-functional Developer Experience team, collaborating with world-class
• Designers, Engineers and Product Managers to deliver developer-facing features across the Blusalt platform.
• Own the delivery for your team, identifying potential blockers early and working to reduce their impact

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences / Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• A keen eye for good user experience.
• Minimum of 5 years + of working experience in the software development and architecture design and implementation
• Specific experience in a Financial Technology & telecommunication sector is advantageous
• Been responsible for scaling teams within a rapidly growing organization
• Established and/or managed overseas or remote engineering teams
• Experience operationalizing mission-critical systems
• Together with engineering leaders you will help your team with their career vision and growth.
