Position Overview

• The Mechanical Workshop Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the mechanical workshop, ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to quality standards.

Responsibilities
Team Leadership:

• Lead and manage a team of mechanics, technicians, and support staff.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to enhance team skills and performance.

Operational Management:

• Plan and schedule workshop activities, assigning tasks and ensuring timely completion.
• Monitor work progress, ensuring efficiency and quality control in all mechanical repairs and maintenance.
• Manage resources, including tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory.

Quality Assurance:

• Maintain high-quality standards in mechanical repairs and services.
• Implement quality control measures and conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets safety and industry standards.

Technical Expertise:

• Utilize in-depth mechanical knowledge to diagnose and troubleshoot complex vehicle and machinery issues.
• Provide technical guidance and expertise to the workshop team.

Safety Compliance:

• Enforce strict safety protocols and procedures to minimize workplace accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

Documentation:

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience (10+ years) in mechanical workshop management or a similar leadership role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge of various vehicles, machinery, and equipment.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and team management skills.
