According to the them, the voice messaging on whatsapp will be made available on all compatible devices and platforms within the next few 24 hours. The Mountain View, California based company also announced that their subscriber base had grown to above 300 million active users per month with approximately 31 billion messages and 325 million photos exchanged per day.

I know some of us are going to say that voice messaging on whatsapp is not so new in the social network territory as social networks like wechat, BBM( Used on blackberry OS 5.0 and higher) are already proffering this service to her users. Yea I do believe that. But the fact that this particular feature has not been integrated into whatsapp but now, simply makes it new and fresh to the ears of everyone. One exciting feature I have come to observe according to its release is the simplicity while using the whatsapp voice message to send and receive voice messages. According to the saga behind the release, users of the app can send voice messages at just a single tap, Unlike facebook’s messenger iOS app that demands you to make like three taps before it can be used for voice messaging

The Whatsapp unlimited voice recording can be used to send voice memo just as it is preferred by lots of users. The new Whatsapp with push to record voice messaging is available in the iOS, Andriod, Windows phone, Blackberry and Nokia.

There is no hassle involve in its usage. You just have to push the recording button, start speaking and let go when done. To cancel your recording in progress, simply swipe to the left and the voice memos automatically gets deleted. The new version puts no length limit on voice memos. For example, you could leave your significant other a short clip just a few seconds long, but also a five-minute video or even half hour footage for that matter.

One favorable stuff about this release is the way the volume has been built to automatically switch when you hold the device a few inches away to soft when you press it against your ear. Indications inform of a blue colored microphone icon notifies you when the recipient has played your voice message.

I must really say that the company has really achieved a lot during this period. Just to think of it, whatsaapp now has:

• 20 million active users across Germany, Mexico, India and Spain
• users now send 11 billion messages and receive 20 billion messages per day, up from 27 billion total in June
• 70 percent penetration across the entire population of Brunei (not even limited to residents who have smartphones) and 50 percent penetration in Hong Kong
• people now sharing 325 million photos per day via WhatsApp
