The University of Benin (UNIBEN) in the recent orientation programme held for 2016/2017 new intake students where informed vividly about rules and regulation of the university.
The event which was held at the Akin Deko Auditorium had in attendance the principal officers of the university led by the Vice Chancellor , Prof. .F.F.O.Orumwense FNSE.
Declaring the event open, the Vice Chancellor congratulated the students on securing admission as he called them “the anointed few”.
He disclosed that the university is still the most sought-after university in the country which is the reason it was nicknamed “UNIBEST”.
He further charged the student to prioritized the reason why they are here which is primarily to acquire knowledge.
As a new student into the school, he said the necessary things to be done is to attend lecture , obey their lecturers and obey the rules and regulations governing the school while adding that there is no quick way to success.
He advised the students to be security cautions and read the student hand book given to them.
Giving the Vote of Thanks, the Dean of Students, Prof O.B Osadolor thanked all who came for the program, which according to him will give sense of direction to the students and he concluded by wishing them successes in their various fields of study.
