When $100,000 dollars comes into stake, ideas are bound to develop wings of innovative devotions. The Rockefeller foundation Is making out the opportunity for interested persons, mothers, fathers, and even Uncles to participate in this singular great ideas of “how would you transform the livelihoods in the informal economy.” The programme which is aimed at receiving vibrant ladies and gentlemen who have nice ideas to share on the quoted topic “how would you transform livelihoods in the informal economy?” the body really believed that we all can help solve the world’s most urgent problems today, and for the next 100 years to come.

Have The Idea? Then Submit And Win

The Rockefeller foundation has a major aim to improve the well being of humans right from across the world and the drive in achieving that has not changed. The foundation is hereby asking and calling on members of the public to join in this vibrant section of brainstorming ideas to provide basic rules to make headsway in the nation, and the globe in general. According to the word for word innovative statement crawled from their website, this is what they have to say:

“It is often out of necessity that 1.8 billion people find their livelihoods in the informal economy – the business enterprises and jobs that exist partially or outside of government regulation. People may benefit from working in the informal economy, in both urban and rural settings. However, many poor or vulnerable individuals working in the informal economy face multiple challenges that can stunt their economic mobility and the overall well-being of their families. The challenges can range from limited opportunity to increase one’s income to job insecurity to poor market information. At the same time, the poor or vulnerable are often excluded from the resources that could improve the quality of their jobs, and, therefore, their lives.”

The statement given above really gives a suitable preamble to what the programme is all about. Just like it was earlier mentioned, the foundation is given 10 grants up to $100,000 (one hundred thousand dollars each).  This is approximately 15 Million Naira in the Nigerian economy and I must confess, it is indeed a lot of money to behold. There are laid down rules and regulation you must follow before you submit your ideas.

The submission is slated to end on the 1st of April. Remember that I said the Finalist will be invited to apply for a grant of $100,000 each, not only that, the finalists will also be given a befitting support  in proposal writing to enable the improvement of ideas. Each Winner will receive technical assistance in the form of marketing and positioning support from the Challenge Administrator and/or other advisor(s), in Sponsor’s sole discretion, including support in refining the idea and developing funding proposals.
