A friend of mine wrote this very interesting poem about the forth coming month of December. I had to go through it and thought it should be one of the post to be made on Loadedvilla today. Have you pondered over this word before or are you among those that partake in this same attitude? Read up and let me hear your thought on this poem.

Soon it will be December

then both the chairs and the ministers

Shall commune together

And even the scripture

Shall go on holiday, dust laden.

The sound of “amen”

Shall echo seven times

Before it fades.

Soon it will be December

And Brethren shall hide their faces in masks,

In raffias and in blissful crowds

And both the choir and the band

Shall mount the arena, Bibleless.

Illuminating the stage with their waists.

Soon it will be December

“So who will preserve our Fathers culture?

Who will preserve our Fathers culture?

True, César must have his turn.” They say.

Then both the gins and schnapps

Shall find rest in righteous stomachs

And the same mouths that partake in the Holy Communion

Shall join the feast of their inner circle.

Soon, December-bliss shall fade like lust

And all shall come weeping:

“Father! Father!

Father or all have sinned and come short of your glory,

In words, in thoughts and in actions.

The ones done Knowingly and unknowingly

Forgive! Ever forgiving Father

Please forgive…”

Soon it will be December

But shall we then continue in sin

That grace may abide?

God, forbid!

Romans 6:1-2

The poem really have something to teach lots of us that get carried away with the festive season. It states how the believe of some christian is dropped as a result of Merry and other distracting factors. There is  a lot to learn about this. Indeed “Soon it will be december.”
