Senator representing Adamawa Central Senatorial District, Sen. Abdul-Aziz Murtala Nyako, has offered scholarship to the best graduating student of the Federal University of Technology Yola, Adamawa State.
Announcing the offer in a ceremony in Abuja yesterday, Senator Nyako promised to offer financial assistance to the student, Mr. Salihu Usman, to enable him study a post graduate degree (MSC) programme in pipeline engineering at Newcastle University, United Kingdom.
Salihu, a graduate from the department of chemical engineering made a accumulative grade point average of 4.43, which made him the best graduating student from the university in 2014 academic year.
Nyako, an APC member explained that the offer was to encourage hard work and diligence among other students from the university and to encourage students from his constituency to study pipeline engineering as a professional course.
Responding Salihu said he was moved by the offer and promised to do his best at the university to justify the sponsorship.
