Igbajo Polytechnic, Igbajo, Boluwaduro LGA, Osun State, has been given the go ahead to present graduates of the institution for the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, programme.
This was disclosed by the Rector of the institution, Mr. Tanimowo Oke, who said the approval was given by the Directorate Headquarters of the NYSC in a letter with Ref. No. NYSC/DHQ/CM/M/124/22 of 29th April, 2015 signed by Mr I.I. Fasanu on behalf of the Director General.
The approval letter referred to the application of the institution and said “I am directed to inform you that after a careful consideration of your application viz-a-viz the records from National Board for Technical Education, NBTE, your institution has been included in the list of Corps producing institutions with Institution Code OS00020”.
The BOT commended the school management for working towards getting the approval, describing it as another milestone in the history of the institution. It will be recalled that Igbajo Polytechnic was the first community polytechnic to be approved by the NBTE in Nigeria.
