About NUC

The National Universities Commission of Nigeria is a government commission promoting quality higher education in Nigeria. It is in the capital city of Abuja. The commission was established in 1962 as an advisory agency in the Cabinet Office.

The National Universities Commission (NUC) is a parastatal under the Federal Ministry of Education (FME). The Commission has a Governing Council, its Executive Secretary is Prof. Julius A. Okojie, who assumed office on August 3, 2006.

NUC General Recruitment Requirements

Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE WAEC/ NECO or the equivalent certification of which must include English Language and Mathematics plus any other 3 relevant subjects. Computer literacy would be an added advantage.
