About National Identity Management Commission (NIMC)
The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) established by the NIMC Act No. 23 of 2007, the NIMC has the mandate to establish, own, operate, maintain and manage the National Identity Database in Nigeria, register persons covered by the Act, assign a Unique National Identification Number (NIN) and issue General Multi-Purpose Cards (GMPC) to those who are citizens of Nigeria as well as others legally residing within the country.

There are no current vacancies for employment in the National Identity Management Commission.
The Commission provides for the mandatory one year National Youth Service Scheme for Nigerian graduates as part of its national development. Students on Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) from various tertiary institutions are also absorbed in the Commission. Aptitude tests are normally conducted for these two categories of students and their engagement is based on performance and availability of vacancy.
NIMC General Recruitment Requirements
- A bachelor or master’s degree in other relevant discipline in the quantitative field or higher national diploma in relevant discipline in the quantitative field.
- Computer literacy and conversant with the use of office application software, web applications and the use of relevant applications for efficient delivery of services.
