- Lagos pays N561m for 44005 students as WAEC fees
fulfillment of her promise to lessen the burden of parents in the academic pursuit of their children and wards, the Lagos State Government has paid the examination fees of 44,005 SSIII Students who sat for this year’s West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
Speaking at the weekend, the Deputy-Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Idiat Oluranti Adebule, said the government paid West African Examination Council (WAEC) the sum of N561million for the examination and administrative fees of the candidates.
The students were those certified fit to be presented to WAEC from public secondary schools after the 2015 Screening Test for SSIII Students. Their data was therefore captured and uploaded for the 2016 WASSCE for school candidates.
