News gotten states that a 22-year-old-picker stabbed his wife to death following a little dispute at the Bharatnagar slums in Pimpri on Thurday morning.
The Police have apprehended Kalu Lokhande under section 302(murder) of the Indian Penal code for killing Surekha his wife.
According to eye witnesses and information from the Police, Kalu returned home around 10am and asked his wife for his breakfast. “Surekha asked him to wait for a while as she was still cooking.
Following her reply, Kalu bounced at her. Vidhate said that as they were struggling, hot oil from a pan on the stove mistakenly spilled on Kalu’s hand which gave him minor burns.
Provoked by the injury, Kalu picked up a knife and stabbed his wife. She sustained several injuries.
At the sound of her voice, neighbours rushed to their apartment. They informed the Police and rushed to Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial hospital where she died.
Neighbours said that both were waste pickers. They have two sons, 2yrs and 6 months and the second barely seven months old.
