Some phones may be funny, funny in the aspect that they just come with different method of operation. Imagine trying to install a an application on a samsung mobile phone and all i get is,“Jar file is over max size.” This alone could be very much frustrating, more especially when you have tons of work to do on various phones. I guess the recent samsung phones that were introduced could be nothing more than bring about this kind of  error messages. Have you been in a situation where you needed to download a .jar extension file type on your samsung phone and all you get is “java file is over max?” then their is a simple solution to this tech issue.

Why does my phone show “Jar file is over max size,” when i try to make any installation of my downloads?

One major reason your phone prompts this kind of message is due to the fact that the factory default maximum .jar extension file settings for your phone was configured not to allow anything more than 500kb. So whenever you try to make any download that is more than that, you are bound to receive such message.

Is there any solution to Increase the memory size to accommodate more than 5mb and more jar files?

Yes there is. To solve this, please dial *#52828378# from your Samsung mobile phone. You will be prompted with a screen that looks similar to the one below.

Jar File Increasing On Samsung

When you receive that screen containing different option, please navigate and select the OTA Test option and click. Once that is done, you can increase your maximum size from 500kb to 5000kb. Atleast with this, you can now make downloads of jar files with big size between 0.1kb to 5mb. You can decide to increase it to a much more bigger size as you wish.
