It may not be a new story to you, but it is very fresh in my ears. Beside connecting your 2go account to facebook, Linking your 2go account to twitter use to be impossible as the 2go mobile messenger company does not cover such services. However, there has been some speculations that you can now add up or link your 2go mobile messenger account to twitter which allows you to tweet, send tweets, and enjoy some live conversation. This service is actually not straight, as you will need to achieve this using a third party procedure. Although i had few challenges connecting my 2go account to twitter, but it was successful at the end.

Today, i am going to share with you how i connected my 2go account to twitter. Firstly, before you can perform this , you must have a gmail account, a 2go account  and also a twitter account. If you do not have any of the following, please endeavor to visit their respective urls to open one for yourself.

Why Do I Need A Gmail Account?

A gmail account is needed because you will have to link both parties via the GTalk gateway available at the settings option in the 2go mobile app. When you activate this gateway and follow the guidelines that will be slated below, your GTalk account automatically creates a user with yourusername@tweeter.tweet.im. When you open this user, you will be able to tweet via 2go to your twitter handle.

Do i Need Gocredits To Chat With My Twitter Friends?

Absolutely no. All you need is just your twitter account and a gmail.

To Connect your twitter Account To 2go, follow the following steps below:

>> Make sure you are already signed in to your twitter, and Gmail account.

>> Go to www.tweet.im and click on sign in with twitter button. The function of this app is to enable you  use micro-blogging platforms like Twitter from your existing instant messaging application. The service makes it easier for you to send messages (called tweets), as well as follow the tweets of other users.

>> After you have finish authorizing tweet.im to have access to your twitter account, you should have a success message. Remember, the app does not have access to your twitter password. So do not be afraid if it will cause any hack to your account. You may also see a message like:

If you do not recognise this sign-in attempt, someone else might be trying to access your account. You should sign in to your account and reset your password immediately.

Just Ignore it and move further

>> Open your 2go mobile messenger, go to settings>>Gateway>>GTalk and click on activate.

>> You will be prompted to fill in the password and username of your gmail account. Remember to fill in your correct username and password as used in your Gmail account in the blank field provided for you.

Put Your Full Gmail Address And Password

>> Once this is done, you should receive a request from your 2go or gmail account to allow twitter app to connect to your 2go account. Accept the request.

!!!! There are some issues here, sometimes it causes lots of problem before you can accept the request, that is if you do not receive any message on your 2go list like “accept” or “reject.” For me, i had to accept the request from my Gmail account, but it was through a Pc. You will see it at your middle right hand corner(Only applicable if you do not have the “accept” or “reject” message after filling in your correct details.

>> You should see your Gtalk Friends among the list on your 2go app. Just locate where you have yourusername@twitter.tweet.im and start sending your tweet. I should be the first you tweet at (Smiles)… Catch me up on twitter @Robinson3d
