Wow, it seems that every area of business is now waking up. Imagine Dog meat sellers in Jos wants a permanent market where they can stay and transact their businesses without difficulty.
Mr Oliver Gowon, the chairman of Dogs Sellers Association, Fwagul Dog Market chapter in Jos, made the call while speaking in Jos on Wednesday.
He said,” what we have is a temporary market and this is not good nor conducive for the growth of our business.”
According to him, he said that they were formerly at the old Jos market before they relocated to the rented plot of land. He seriously appealed to the State Government to establish a dog market in the greater master plan.
“We need a market that is well fenced to minimize the rate at which dog escape each time they break loose.
Gowon, a former Councilor in Kakanke Local Government area of Plateau, mentioned in his speech that a conducive market is now necessary since dog market was becoming more lucrative everyday.
He said that the dog market will really generate a lot of revenue since people do come from distant places on daily basis just to buy both live dogs and the prepared ones.
