It was like a joke when this news came to our desk but it seems very serious. According the latest report reaching us, some group or will i say some cultist have threaten to cut short the lives of some lecturers who are partakers of the Asup strike. The threat came as a result of the long awaited Asup strike by the body.
According to the text messages gotten, this is what they have to say:
“Your death at this time will not be celebrated by your family. Your children will eventually blame you for dying for an idiotic race. On this note, the federation of Aye Neo-black men wishes to give you ultimatum of two days to call off the strike before we will ask for the head of your first child.”
The National President of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, Mr. Chibuzo Asomugha, and the chairmen of the union at the Federal polytechnic, Offa; Yaba College of Technology, YABATECH, Federal polytechnic, Ilaro; and Federal polytechnic, Ede, have alleged that some cultists were threatening their lives.
More analysis reads that another text message was also sent and it contains the below words:
“Heed our warnings. Federal Government has no respect for polytechnic education. So, what is your own concern? In your own interest, call off the strike or you resign. Egege warns.”
This message was wrapped up with the ending remark of ““May you never witness the resumption of ASUP.”
