  1. Professional Diploma in Human Resources Management
    Course Objectives
    This is a professional programme for individuals, who may or not have knowledge of the practice of Human Resources Management. The objectives of the programme are:
  • To enhance the ability of the participants to analyze human resources management issues and solutions;
    • To enable the candidates to deal with basic issues in labour management relations.
    • To enable the participants to have basic knowledge of other areas of management functions apart from human resource management.

Entry Requirement

  • Holders of SSCE/GCE or Equivalent with at least 5 credit passes including English at not more than two(2) sittings Holders of relevant professional qualifications from recognized Institutes.
    • Mature candidate who are sponsored by company and are above 30 years of age may apply.

Tuition: N50,000.00 and Course Materials: N7,000.OO

  1. Advance Professional Diploma in Human Resources Management
    Course Objectives    :
    This is a professional programme for individuals, who may or not have knowledge of the practice of Human Resource Management. The objectives of the programme are:
  • To prepare participants to deal with critical issues of managing people
    • To brief those involved in human resources management and government agencies on new techniques of people management.
    • To enable the participants to understand the peculiar Nigerian human resources management environment and ways of managing them.
    • To make the participant becomes world class employee which would in turn help their organisation to win competitive advantage.

Target Audience:
Top level Managers, Political leaders, Local Government Officials, Religious leaders, Proprietors/Business Men and Women, Human Resources Managers (HRM), mature individuals who desire to know how to win with people.
Duration:
9 Months (Saturdays Only) Two Semesters
Entry Requirements

  • Holders of B.Sc/HND/OND/NCE in any discipline
    • Holders of Diploma in Human Resources Management of the University of Lagos
    • Holders of higher qualification
    • Matured and experienced candidates who are sponsored by company and are above
    • 30 years of age, from private, public and other sectors may apply subject to selection criteria to be adopted by the programme committee.

Payment Procedures:
Tuition and Course Material Fees are payable to the Human Resource Development Centre, University of Lagos, using the HRDC Students Fees Bank Teller which is available at the University of Lagos branch of Access bank, First Bank, Wema Bank and Eco Bank.
Lecture Venue: Faculty of Business Ministration, Main Campus, Akoka, Yaba, Lagos.
Commencement Date: September , 2014
Application Fee and Method of Application:
Applicants are expected to visit the HRDC portal http//:hrdc.unilag.edu.ng, to fill the pre-application form.
(Contents of the pre-application form include Surname, First name, middle name, E-mail address and Mobile number.) Upon successful completion of the pre-application form, the applicant will be issued a “Payment Reference Number which should be printed out.
Applicants should take their printout containing the Payment Reference Number to any of the HRDC application fee collecting banks (Ecobank, Access Bank, First Bank and Wema Bank) on the university campus to make payment. (Application Fee: N7,500). After payment, applicants should return to the payment portal, click the application form link, and log-in with the Payment Reference Number and the Surname (in lower case and strictly as provided in the pre-application form) as password to access the application form.

Note
Kindly note the following steps:

  • Only application payments that the bank has confirmed receipt of will have access to the application form.
    • Applicants who experience challenges may return to the bank where payment was made to request that their payment be posted. (Notification of payment receipt shall be sent to applicants who have paid).
    • The password will be as provided in the Surname field in lower case; errors in filling of surname must therefore be reflected in the password used.
    • After completion of application form, printed copies should be submitted at the HRDC Secretariat with the following documents:
  • Original printout and a photocopy
    • Two (2) photocopies of Birth Certificate
    • Two (2) photocopies of reference number printout
    • Two (2) photocopies of N7,500 teller
    • Two (2) photocopies of credentials

Tuition and Course Materials Fees:
Tuition for the programme is N60, 000.00 (Sixty Thousand Naira) Admitted students are required to pay N7,000.00 (Seven Thousand Naira) for Course Materials.
