246,853 candidates sat the examination (132,521 males & 114,332 females). 241,162 candidates had their results fully released.

5,691 candidates have a few of their subjects still being processed due to errors mainly traceable to the candidates. That’s outstanding. Such errors are being corrected by the Council to enable the affected candidates get their results.

Of the total number of candidates that sat the examination, 75,313 candidates (30.50%), obtained 6 credits and above.

110,346 candidates, representing 44.70% obtained 5 credits and above. 145,036 candidates, representing 58.75% obtained credits and above in 4 subjects. 177,177 candidates, representing 71.77% obtained credits and above in 3 subjects.

A total of 205,090 candidates (83.08%) obtained credits and above in 2 subjects.

A total of 72,522 candidates, representing 29.37% obtained credits in 5 subjects and above, including English Language and Mathematics.

Based on this, when compared to the November/December 2012 and 2013 WASSCE (Private), there is a marked increase in candidates’ performance.
