Job Title: News Editor
Location: Lagos
Job Summary
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced News Editor to join our team at our television station.
- The News Editor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our news department, including the planning, research, and production of all news content.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, research, and production of daily news programs
- Manage and supervise a team of reporters, producers, and other news staff
- Coordinate coverage of major events and breaking news stories
- Ensure the accuracy and credibility of all news content
- Maintain strong relationships with news sources and community leaders
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or related fields
- Proven experience as a News Editor or similar role in a television newsroom
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of current events and ability to identify relevant stories
- Experience working with a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
