Job Title: Marketing and Communications Executive

Location: Nigeria

Summary

• The Marketing & Communications Executive will play a key role in driving the development and sales of these emerging businesses by creating a strong brand identity for both businessesin Nigeria.
• He/She will also provide marketing support to the sales team through quality design and activation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and recommend the brand architecture for both businesses in Nigeria
• Develop and recommend the marketing strategy for Nigeria encompassing brand positioning, brand promise, mascot, house colors, marketing mix, media plan, above and below the line activity.
• Develop in-house design capabilities for routine social media, print artworks, animations and videos.
• Identify & recommend cost effective design / ad agencies for heavier work.
• Organize photo and video shoots in studio as well as at farm sites
• Identify and recommend promotion agencies / event managers for events, trade fairs, rural campaigns, customer engagement camps, etc.
• Identify and recommend printers, fabricators & merchandizers for branding material such as leaflets, brochures, posters, banners, standees, vinyls, flex, Caps, Tshirts, keychains, etc.
• Negotiate with vendors and recommend optimal quality, quantity and prices.
• Partner with overseas and local engineering teams to collate product specifications, capture images and videos to script the marketing content
• Partner with sales & service teams to plan and implement marketing activities
• Identify strategic and tactical opportunities for consumer activation
• Travel extensively to agricultural areas in focus states to participate in marketing activities

Requirements

• Degree in Marketing, Communication or PR.
• 3-5 years comms/ marketing experience, preferably in FMCG sector, focusing on rural markets
• Preferred: Postgraduate degree in similar/ MBA
• Qualifications in Graphic Design will be an added advantage
• Highly proficient in English language, knowledge of Yoruba, Ibo and/or Hausa advantageous
• Proficient in using advanced design software for quick in-house creatives
• Good knowledge of graphic design
