Job Title: Account Officer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Duties

• Responsible for compiling information needed for billing purpose
• Responsible for issuing invoices, bills and monthly report Etc
• Support department activities with specific responsibility for the processing, recording, updating and reconciling of financial information.
• Cash and receipts application plus credit note applications
• Collation of billing information
• Ensure daily sales are reconciled with the system for proper accounting and audit
• Management of receivables from customers via: cash, cheque, direct payment and ensure proper invoicing
• Perform cash/bank reconciliations, analyze, investigate and resolve variances and reconciling items
• Manage account balances to discover outstanding debts or other inconsistencies
• Collect all information needed to calculate bills receivable (order amounts, discount rates etc.)
• Check the data input in the accounting system to ensure accuracy of final bill
• Issue invoices and bills and sent them to customers through various channels (mail, e-mail etc.)
• Issue customer account statements periodically or whenever necessary
• Keep track of transactions and follow up on a regular basis.
• Support core accounting and reporting, including account reconciliations and month-end close activities
• Any other additional job function assigned

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Billing Officer
• A team player with high level of dedication
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge and use of Basic MS Office Suites (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
• Time management and organization
• Ability to carry out detailed reconciliation of accounts
• Analytical skills- Strong working knowledge of Excel
• Excellent Math and computation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Tally ERP (Preferably)

Salary
NGN70,000 – 90,000 / Month.
